Compassionate Guidance for Your Personal Journey
I live with my wonderful family and our playful dog, Max, who bring warmth, joy, and balance to my everyday life.
I hold a Master of Counselling from the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors and a Bachelor of Commerce. My approach is professional, compassionate, and down-to-earth, with a strong focus on creating a space where people feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely heard.
What brought me to counselling was a long-standing interest in people, their stories, and the quiet strength they often carry through difficult seasons of life. Over many years in human services and community support, I saw how important it is for people to feel heard, respected, and supported without judgement. Counselling felt like a natural path because it allows me to sit alongside people in a more personal and meaningful way.
Before establishing Lyra Counselling, I spent 17 years working in human services, community support, and person-centred care. This experience continues to shape the way I work: with patience, empathy, respect, and genuine care.
At Lyra Counselling, I offer culturally sensitive support that respects your background, identity, values, and lived experience. In our sessions, you will find a warm, relaxed, and non-judgemental space where we can gently explore what is happening for you and work together at a pace that feels right.
